Our Pre-K through 12 college preparatory program is open to any student desiring to be college bound, regardless of current or past academic performance. We serve all students, including students with disabilities, English learners and gifted students.
All students are admitted through a blind lottery system process according to state law. Our lottery is held on the second Friday of April each year. Only applications completed by the day before the lottery will be allowed to enter. Student applications received after this date will be awarded a seat on a first-come, first-served basis. If seats are unavailable, students will be placed on a waiting list and notified if a seat becomes available.
We anticipate offering approximately 120 elementary school seats in 2020-21 school year in addition to limited openings in middle and high school grades.
THE SIBLING RULE
New Mexico law states that if a child currently attends a charter school, their siblings may also attend. However, due to the high demand for seats at MAS, we are not able to guarantee seats for siblings. Siblings of students currently attending MAS are given preference in the lottery, but are not guaranteed seats.
